Money in the Mandalorian

So, how does money work in the Mandalorian? This is something to ponder as we wait for the next season to appear.

There appear to be three forms of currency in the post-Empire world: beskar steel ingots, Imperial Credits, and Calamari Flan (shown).

Beskar steel seems to operate like gold. Minted into standard weight ingots, each beskar bar has a standard value. However, is there a trade in fractional beskar, e.g. half bars?

Imperial Credits, I believe, come in different denominations and is a fiat currency. And, even though the Empire is defunct, many still use Credits as currency. This is like the pre-Civil War US where notes of failed banks were still used-although at a deep discount.

Calamari Flan is a valuable fiat currency backed by a vibrant economy. The coins must have a standard denomination given their shape and usage. But, how does one make change? Is there fractional Flan? Or, do Flan coins connect to an electronic network that allows for the movement of value? If so, they would be the hybrid banknotes or hybrid coin of the Mandalorian world. A device that can work offline and online, and something I support.

Hopefully, future episodes will clarify matters.
